Motorola Sues RIM For Swiping Employees, Secrets

Law360, New York (September 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move that could stoke the flames of the multipronged patent war between Motorola Inc. and BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd., Motorola has sued its competitor for allegedly trying to poach its employees and steal trade secrets.

Motorola filed the complaint on Friday in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, alleging breach of contract, threatened misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference and unfair competition.
