AT&T Files Unfair Competition Complaint Against Cox

Law360, New York (September 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. has shot off a complaint with federal regulators that accuses Cox Communications Inc. of engaging in unfair competition by blocking AT&T’s video-programming service from broadcasting San Diego Padres baseball games.

Dallas-based AT&T lodged its complaint with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission on Thursday, alleging that Atlanta-based Cox is harming AT&T’s business by not granting it licensing rights to Cox Channel 4, which has exclusive live coverage of Padres games.
