High Court Ready To Referee Antitrust 'Soap Opera'

Law360, New York (September 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to kick off a new term, antitrust lawyers are waiting with bated breath to see how the court will tackle a price-squeezing case that triggered a dispute between the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.

In June, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case in which AT&T Inc. is accused of using its alleged monopoly on telephone lines to subject Internet service providers to a price-squeeze in violation of antitrust laws.
