Waste Management's Top Accountant Wins New Trial

Law360, New York (September 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Waste Management Inc. executive caught up in what was one of the largest corporate fraud cases in U.S. history has won his bid for a new trial.

On Wednesday, the U.S Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit overturned the verdict against Bruce Snyder, the garbage removal company's former chief accounting officer, saying a district court had erred in instructing the jury in his trial.
