DirecTV Hit With Class Action Over Termination Fees

Law360, New York (September 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two California women have filed a class action against DirecTV Group Inc., alleging that the satellite television provider does not adequately disclose its early termination fees to customers when they sign up for service.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the Superior Court of Los Angeles by Amy Imburgia of Huntington Beach, Ca., and Marlene Mecca of Sacramento, Ca., seeks injunctive relief and damages for customers affected by DirecTV termination fees.
