China Files WTO Complaint Over Anti-Dumping Duties

Law360, New York (September 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- China reportedly filed a complaint against the United States with the World Trade Organization on Friday, seeking resolution of an ongoing dispute regarding anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed on Chinese goods.

China's Ministry of Commerce asked for consultations under the WTO's dispute settlement process after it failed to negotiate with the U.S. over tariffs imposed on imports of Chinese steel pipes, standard steel tires and laminated woven sacks, according to Reuters.
