Ralphs Grocery Group Indicted Over Mass Lockout

Law360, New York (September 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of Ralphs Grocery Co. managers and executives have been indicted by a grand jury in California over a conspiracy to secretly rehire hundreds of locked-out employees under false identities during a labor dispute five years ago.

The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles said on Friday that the grand jury had returned a 23-count indictment against former managers Charles Vance, Randall Kruska and Karen Montoya; former Vice President Patrick McGowan; and Scott Drew, a current vice president of Ralphs' parent company The Kroger Co....
