Acacia Unit Settles With Motorola

Law360, New York (September 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Acacia Research Corp. unit has settled patent infringement claims with Motorola Inc., the single remaining defendant in a suit over patents relating to fleet management technology that combines wireless communication with GPS tracking.

Judge Orinda D. Evans of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Tuesday signed an order dropping with prejudice all of Acacia subsidiary Telematics Corp.'s claims and counterclaims against Motorola and officially closing the case.
