Global Warming Impacting Water Quality: EPA

Law360, New York (October 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Climate change will threaten U.S. water resources in the coming years by increasing pollution, reducing the availability of clean drinking water and damaging coastal areas, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Water said this week in a new report.

The EPA released a 105-page report Tuesday, titled "National Water Program Strategy: Response to Climate Change." The report detailed the impacts of climate change and also outlined goals for mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions to protect the water supply.
