TSMC, UniRAM Lay Down Swords Over Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (October 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and UniRAM Technology Inc. will reportedly settle a long-running trade secrets dispute over specialized computer memory devices, with the Taiwanese chip maker set to withdraw its appeal of an earlier ruling against it.

TSMC said in a statement that it had reached a settlement with the Silicon Valley company and that the court judgment it had appealed would become void, AFX Asia reported.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed and were not available in court dockets.
