Patent Holder Sues Computer Graphics Card Makers

Law360, New York (October 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Intellectual Capital Holdings Ltd. sued five computer graphics card makers on Monday, accusing them of infringing a patent for an electronics cooling component.

BFG Technologies Inc., EVGA Corp., Diamond Multimedia Systems Inc., PNY Technologies Inc. and Eastcom Inc. used a patented “heat sink assembly” in the production of graphics cards necessary for running video games and other graphic-intensive purposes, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
