Scottish IP Firm Buys Rival Boutique

Law360, New York (June 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Scotland’s largest intellectual property law firm, Murgitroyd Group, has acquired one of its rival patent firms in Glasgow for around $2.36 million, the firm said.

Murgitroyd, which has around 60 attorneys and a total of over 200 full-time staff in nine offices in Europe, acquired the smaller intellectual property boutique Fitzpatricks Group, a Glasgow firm founded in 1887.
