Heller Lawyers Scattering, But No Major Deals Yet

Law360, New York (October 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Since Heller Ehrman LLP voted to dissolve late last month, attorneys from the 650-lawyer firm have scattered to several other major firms, but no clear leader has emerged to scoop up most of Heller's ashes.

The exodus from 118-year-old Heller has been swift, with two announcements of new moves on Wednesday alone. Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP announced that it had picked up a team of Heller energy regulatory attorneys, while two Heller lawyers joined the private clients, trusts and estates practice of Schiff Hardin LLP....
