EU Urges Outside Nations To Curb Airline Emissions

Law360, New York (October 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- European Union transportation ministers said Thursday they would strive to encourage nations around the world to adopt standards for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the airline industry.

The ministers, who are part of the Council of the European Union, issued a statement advising the European Commission to convince other countries to include aviation in plans for addressing carbon dioxide releases and climate change.
