Law360, New York (June 27, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A German medical and orthopedic technology producer has stuck a California medical device company with an infringement suit over a patent dealing with screws used to treat spine disorders.
Biedermann Motech GmbH, based in Schwenningen, Germany, initiated the suit Monday against Alphatec Spine Inc. in the U.S. District for the District of Massachusetts over its pedicle screw patent. DePuy Spine Inc. also joined Biedermann in its infringement suit.
