Cisco Systems Sued Over Wireless Network Patents

Law360, New York (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Software maker Autocell Laboratories Inc. has accused Cisco Systems Inc. of infringing patents for technology used to limit the interference between transmitters and receivers in wireless networks.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Autocell accuses Cisco of selling laptop cards that infringe its technology for improving the performance of laptops and other devices in a wireless network.

A representative for Cisco Systems, based in San Jose, Calif., could not immediately be reached for comment Friday.
