Google Sued Over 3-D Mouse Technology

Law360, New York (June 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After reaping settlements and damage awards from a slew of computer device companies, a small patent-holding firm has set its sights on Google Inc., accusing the Internet search giant of infringing a patent for scrolling-mouse technology.

The patent in the complaint that was filed this week in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida is held by Florida-based F&G Research Inc. The patent covers technology for three-dimensional mouse scrolling.
