Federal Circuit Clears Gennum In Video Tech Case

Law360, New York (October 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit has affirmed that chip maker Gennum Corp. did not infringe two of Technology Licensing Corp.'s patents related to video synchronization separators, ending a tortuous patent suit between the makers of video technology.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit handed down the ruling on Friday, upholding the District Court for the Northern District of California's finding in favor Gennum except for Gennum's declaratory claims for unenforceability of one of the patents and invalidity of one claim in the other patent....
