Fairchild Reboots Power Integrations Patent Spat

Law360, New York (October 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An intellectual property dispute between semiconductor companies Power Integrations Inc. and Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. continued Tuesday when Fairchild sued Power Integrations for infringement of three patents.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, comes just weeks after Power Integrations won a decision in a separate $34 million infringement case against Fairchild over four other patents.

The sets of patents in the two suits are both related to similar electronics components, according to court documents.
