Northwest Wins Right To Reject Flight Attendant Contract

Law360, New York (June 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After months of failed negotiations, a federal bankruptcy judge has given Northwest Airlines Corp. the green light to reject its labor contract with an estimated 9,300 flight attendants.

Last week, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Allan Gropper ruled that Northwest could void its contract with the Professional Flight Attendants Association, if the sides were not able to reach an agreement within 14 days.
