Economic Troubles May Delay Carbon Regs Worldwide

Law360, New York (October 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Although attorneys expect the push for comprehensive carbon regulations to remain strong, there will likely be some compromises and perhaps some delays if the worldwide economy continues to nosedive.

For one thing, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other pro-business groups are expected to ramp up their attack ads, according to Tom Mounteer, a partner with the environmental and sustainability groups at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP.
