Law360, New York (October 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Ohio Supreme Court's recent decisions curbing asbestos claims, and a lower court's purging of 30,000 asbestos suits, have helped transform Ohio from a perceived “judicial hellhole” into a state with a predictable legal system, a state senator and lawyer has said.
Ohio State Sen. Bill Seitz, who spearheaded the 2004 legislation that prompted one of the recent high court cases, said that “even heavily urbanized” Ohio has now become “conducive to better business law.”
