Economic Woes May Boost Climate Change Sector

Law360, New York (October 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Despite the financial crisis and the worldwide economic malaise, industries focused on climate change are poised for growth, as the accelerating pace of global warming will continue to push governments to put more resources into mitigating its effects, a report from Deutsche Bank says.

The report released by Deutsche Bank's Asset Management Division Thursday said the downturn also may motivate governments to boost green-economy infrastructure as a way to help forestall severe recession.
