Deals Rumor Mill: Verizon, Legg Mason, EDF

By Benjamin Horney (January 6, 2016, 5:06 PM EST) -- Verizon Communications Inc. has launched a sale process for its data center assets, Reuters reported on Tuesday, and the company is seeking to net upwards of $2.5 billion through the divestiture. According to the report, Verizon is making the move so that it can better focus on its core business. The portfolio of assets for sale includes 48 data centers, the report noted, which together generate annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of about $275 million. Verizon has tapped Citigroup Inc. to advise it. No potential suitors were disclosed....
