Video Game Giants Sued Over Console Systems

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japanese research and development company ADC Technology Inc. has unleashed a lawsuit against Microsoft Corp., Nintendo of America Inc. and Sony Corp. of America, alleging infringement of five patents related to video game communication systems.

The action, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, alleges the three dominant video game makers sell video game systems that violate ADC’s long-held patents over a method of downloading software from a host facility.
