Deals Rumor Mill: Telefonica, Postal Savings Bank, Leidos

By Benjamin Horney (January 19, 2016, 5:52 PM EST) -- Spanish telecommunications giant Telefonica SA is interested in pursuing an acquisition of AT&T Inc.'s Latin American pay-TV assets, which could be worth roughly $10 billion, Reuters reported Friday. According to the report, AT&T acquired the assets, which include satellite and cable television services in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and several other countries, as part of its purchase of DirecTV last year. AT&T has yet to decide if it actually wants to sell the assets, the report noted, and another potential buyer could be Liberty Global PLC....
