Home Interiors Calls For Trustee To Speed Up Sale

Law360, New York (November 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt Home Interiors & Gifts Inc. has asked a judge to appoint a U.S. trustee to oversee its Chapter 11 case in the hopes of expediting the sale of its business operations and avoiding delays caused by spats between creditors.

In a motion Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, the company and certain of its bankrupt subsidiaries said the appointment of a trustee would “cut the Gordian knot that entangles” the case.
