Intl. Paper, BNSF Agree To Superfund Cleanup

Law360, New York (November 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two companies responsible for the cleanup of a contaminated Minnesota Indian reservation have agreed to develop options for the Superfund site, seven years after the government sampled the site for dioxin.

BNSF Railway Co. and International Paper Co. agreed to propose several options to mitigate the health risks from contamination at the St. Regis Paper Co. Superfund Site in Cass Lake, Minn., the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced last week.
