Royal Bank Of Scotland Nearing Enron Settlement

Law360, New York (July 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.K.’s second-largest bank is nearing a settlement in the shareholder lawsuit filed over the bank’s alleged role in the Enron Corp. accounting scandal, according to several executives close to the case.

The Sunday Telegraph reported that the Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC is nearing a deal in the civil suit that may amount to more than £100 million for shareholders, citing bank executives familiar with the lawsuit.
