FCC Investigates Digital Cable Pricing

Law360, New York (November 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- After receiving complaints that some subscribers are paying the same price for fewer and fewer channels, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has launched a probe into the way cable companies price their digital and non-digital tiers of service.

The FCC sent letters to 12 cable television providers last week, seeking information about pricing and channels that have been moved from analog cable service to digital, including Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable Inc.
