Ford To Appeal $3.6M Verdict In Asbestos Case

Law360, New York (November 07, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Ford Motor Co. vowed to appeal a $3.6 million verdict handed a woman who alleged that secondhand exposure to asbestos in brakes made by Ford and another company gave her terminal mesothelioma.

A jury in Broward County Circuit Court decided Monday, after a three-week trial and six hours of deliberation, that Pneumo Abex and Ford were negligent and had placed defective products on the market that were the legal cause of the damages caused to plaintiffs Lynda and Michael Daly.
