Top DOJ Antitrust Enforcer To Resign

Law360, New York (November 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Justice Department's top antitrust official, Thomas Barnett, will step down Nov. 19, the department said Friday.

Barnett has been assistant attorney general of the antitrust division since 2005, first in an acting capacity before being confirmed by the Senate in 2006. Before his current position, he served for a year as the division's deputy assistant attorney general for civil enforcement.
