Noble Smacked With Race Discrimination Suit

Law360, New York (November 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has sued a unit of auto parts maker Noble International Ltd. for allegedly denying promotions to one Bangladeshi and at least seven black workers based on their race and then firing a white employee for opposing the discriminatory practices.

In a complaint brought Friday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the EEOC said the discrimination at Noble Metal Processing Inc.'s Warren, Mich., facility was intentional and done with malice or reckless indifference.
