Law360, New York (November 12, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- LG Display Co. Ltd., Sharp Corp. and Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd. will plead guilty to fixing prices for liquid crystal display screens and pay fines totaling $585 million, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.
LG will pay $400 million, the second-largest criminal fine ever imposed by the Justice Department's Antitrust Division. Sharp will pay $120 million and Chunghwa will pay $65 million.
