Freedom Wireless, Bcgi Reach $55M Settlement

Law360, New York (July 24, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The long-running patent feud between wireless companies Boston Communications Group and Freedom Wireless is expected to draw to a close soon, after bcgi agreed to pay $55.3 million to settle allegations of patent infringement.

bcgi will pay $55.3 million for all claims made in the case up to June 30, 2006. Other defendants in the case have reached settlements as well and will pay an additional $37 million.
