Ex-AspenTech Honchos Settle With SEC

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has settled a case it brought against the former chairman and the former CEO of Aspen Technology Inc., accusing them of securities fraud in relation to a revenue inflation scheme.

On Wednesday, Judge Joseph L. Tauro of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts approved the deals between the SEC and former chairman Lawrence B. Evans and former CEO David L. McQuillin.

The two former executives did not admit or deny any wrongdoing.
