US, Canada Launch Climate Research Partnership

Law360, New York (November 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is teaming up with Environment Canada, agreeing to share weather and climate data in order to improve accuracy and give scientists a better picture of climate change in North America, NOAA has announced.

NOAA also said Monday that the agreement will result in common quality control procedures for the data collected by both countries, such as finding a common method of measuring snowfall and snow depth.
