Federal Judge OKs WaMu Legal Appointments

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal bankruptcy judge has approved the appointment of four law firms to represent Washington Mutual Inc. in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

Judge Mary K. Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved on Monday the four separate motions nunc pro tunc to Washington Mutual's bankruptcy filing, saying that the firms and WaMu had reached satisfactory terms for the representation and that the retention of the four firms was necessary.
