Bankrupt Jeweler Wants $3.5M Brooch Back

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A subsidiary of bankrupt jeweler Fred Leighton Holding Inc. has sued Sotheby's Inc. and two other defendants, seeking the return of a brooch valued at $3.5 million.

The lawsuit, filed Monday by debtor-in-possession Endymion LLC in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, says the pricey bauble did not sell at a recent auction and is currently being held by Sotheby’s in Hong Kong.
