Calcar Loses Permanent Injunction Bid Against Honda

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to grant American Calcar Inc. a permanent injunction blocking American Honda Motor Co. Inc. from infringing two patents, more than two weeks after overturning a jury's verdict and invalidating one of the patents for inequitable conduct.

Judge Dana M. Sabraw of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California ruled Tuesday that Calcar had not demonstrated sufficient evidence on the questions of irreparable injury, inadequacy of available legal remedy or the balance of hardships to warrant the injunction....
