Judge OKs $24M Pet Food Settlement

Law360, New York (November 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has signed off on a $24 million settlement in a multidistrict pet food litigation, putting to rest claims over a massive recall of contaminated dog and cat food that sickened and killed pets across North America.

Judge Noel Hillman of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey agreed in a 65-page order Tuesday that the deal was in the interest of both the plaintiffs and the defendants, including Menu Foods Inc.
