Chesapeake Energy Hit With Age, Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (November 20, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Chesapeake Energy Corp. is facing a lawsuit from its former director of human resources compliance, who claims that she was harassed and ultimately fired for pointing out sex and age discrimination in the workplace.

Jacque L. Bergman lodged the suit against her former employer on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, accusing Chesapeake of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and state anti-discrimination statutes.
