Sanofi Victorious In Arava Antitrust Class Action

Law360, New York (November 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC has won an antitrust class action filed by a drug wholesaler claiming Sanofi had submitted a sham citizen petition to delay release of generic versions of an arthritis drug.

Shortly after going to trial Nov. 10 and deliberating for about five hours Wednesday, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found that Sanofi’s grounds for filing the citizen petition were not baseless, therein dismissing the case, said Sanofi attorney John Majoras of Jones Day LLP....
