Mayer Brown Axes 33 Attorneys, Some Staff

Law360, New York (November 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Mayer Brown LLP is laying off 33 lawyers and some support staff due to pressure from the difficult economy, the firm said Friday.

The firm said that the layoffs were separate from lawyers that were asked to leave this year as part of its performance review process.
