Audi Gave Preferential Discounts: Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An Ohio Audi dealer has launched an antitrust lawsuit accusing Audi of America Inc. of providing favored dealers with wholesale price discounts on new vehicles in a bid to eliminate nonexclusive dealers of the Audi brand.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio by Beechmont Audi, claims that Audi's conduct has resulted in “substantial damage” to the Cincinnati-based franchisee, which has been purchasing new cars from Audi for resale to the public for nearly two decades.
