Avid, Crystal Settle Fight Over Pet ID Technology

Law360, New York (November 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Rival pet identification chip makers Avid Identification Systems Corp. and Crystal Import Corp. have settled cases in two different courts involving dueling antitrust and patent claims over the technology for identifying lost pets and livestock.

The two companies filed joint stipulations of dismissal Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
