ITC To Probe Korean Shoes For Patent Infringement

Law360, New York (November 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to investigate a Swiss shoemaker's claim that a Korean rival is selling a brand of curved-sole shoe that infringes the company's patent.

The ITC announced Thursday it would investigate Ryn Korea Co. Ltd. and two U.S. distributors for possibly violating U.S. trade laws after Switzerland-based Masai Marketing and Trading AG claimed Ryn's shoes fall within the claims of U.S. Patent Number 6,341,432.
