Bill Would Move Vaccine Safety Out Of CDC

Law360, New York (July 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A new bill introduced in Congress would take vaccine safety research away from the Centers for Disease Control and place it in the hands of the Department of Health to remove an alleged conflict of interest.

The Vaccine Safety and Public Confidence Assurance Act of 2006 would create an independent agency within the Department of Health to take on the research.
