DOE Cleanup Of Hanford Site 'Too Slow': Wash. Suit

Law360, New York (November 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Energy's sluggish cleanup of 53 million gallons of radioactive waste at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation has jeopardized the public health, according to a lawsuit filed by the state of Washington.

On Nov. 26, the state was scheduled to sue the DOE in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington over the nation's most polluted nuclear site.
