Green Groups, Power Cos. Head To High Court

Law360, New York (December 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Environmental groups will square off against the electric power sector and the federal government Tuesday in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court to determine whether the best available technology must be used to prevent aquatic life from being sucked into cooling water intake pipes or if companies can compare costs with benefits.

Richard Lazarus, a professor of law at the Georgetown University Law Center who is representing the environmental groups, will have 30 minutes to argue his case before the nine justices.
